    E-shops can’t provide international shipping to every location. It may happen that some of your visitors come from areas where you don’t have shipping available. So once you start shipping to their location, make sure you display this information on the product pages, to encourage them to buy.

    Here is how you can create such an experiment:

    Step 1. Create a new personalization experiment

    First, from the main menu select the ‘Personalization’ option.

    In the next window press on the ‘Create a Personalization’ button.

    Here you can either load the URL of the product page that you want to include into your experiment or add its HTML source code.
    Or the second option,  ‘or upload HTML’, is used mainly for dynamically generated web pages, like the shopping cart page. Select ‘Create experiment’.

    Step 2. Create the variation

    Once the editor finished loading the page, click on the ‘New variation’ button.

    Then choose the place where you want to place your message – in our example…

    After you insert the content, you must personalize the message. Click on the inserted text and choose the option ‘Edit element’ and then ‘Change text’.

    Step 3. Set the audience and the segmentation

    The next step is to choose your ‘Audience’. If you want the experiment to be applied on multiple pages (in this particular example, on all the product pages), you can use the ‘URL starts with’ or ‘URL contains’ conditions.

    Create or select a segment. In this example, you must create the segmentation for those visitors coming from the countries that were recently added to your available shipping list.

    In the next window, select ‘New segment’.

    For this example, let’s assume that you have added Romania and Latvia to the list of worldwide locations where you can now ship, so you must create a proper segmentation for the visitors coming from these two countries. Use the ‘OR’ operator to make sure that any visitor coming from Latvia or Romania sees the personalized message.

    Press ‘Save’ and then select the radio button to apply this new segmentation:

    After tht, set up the device type segmentation and the exclusivity option if needed.

    Step 3. Set the traffic allocation and goals

    Move the blue slider to allocate traffic to Control and Variation.

    Then set up the goals that you want to track. Besides the three goals implemented by default, in this section, you can create your own custom goals that will be saved and will remain available for future experiments.

    Step 4. Schedule and publish the personalization

    Finally, the last step is to schedule and publish the personalization experiment.

    DON’T FORGET: After each time you publish or update an experiment, you have to wait 3-4 minutes until it will be visible on your website.
