Connect ChatGPT

Prerequisites

Developer mode must be enabled in ChatGPT before you can add a custom MCP connector. More info about this here.

Client capabilities

This connector supports:

  • Tools (tools/list, tools/call)

Resources, resource templates, prompts, and completion capabilities are not supported.

How to add the connector

  1. Go to Settings → Apps and Connectors.

  2. Click Create.

  3. Enter any value as the server name.

  4. Set the MCP server URL to: https://web.omniconvert.com/mcp

  5. Check the "Custom MCP servers introduce risk" checkbox.

  6. Click Create.

  7. Follow the OAuth instructions to authorize the client - leave the OAuth client and secret fields empty; the connection happens automatically after clicking Create.

Note

After connecting, a screen requesting permissions will appear - approve it to complete setup.

Using the connector in a chat

  1. Click the "+" button.

  2. Select More.

  3. Choose the MCP server.
